'NextGen offers opportunities to develop yourself'
Loes Tenniglo has a curiosity about how processes can be designed more efficiently. Via NextGen she ended up at Kemetyl, where she uses her analytical mind to realize concrete improvements every day.
Structure and personal development
"What I really liked in NextGen's approach was the clear structure of the Green Belt project, in five phases. That made it clear and manageable. It's a tough process, but I always knew: if I stick to that structure, I will achieve the desired end result.
In addition, I found the focus on personal development very valuable. You start working in a company where you don't know your colleagues very well yet, but where you have to step up to the mark and make changes right away. So that support in that area is very valuable. If you have just left school, you are more or less on your own. Then it's very nice when someone thinks along and gives you a push in the right direction."
Mutual interest
"When I finished my master's degree, I started looking for a company that suited me. Partly because of my affinity with textiles, I wanted to stay in Enschede and Araco seemed an interesting company. Although there was no vacancy at that time, the interest was mutual. They were already working with NextGen and on Araco's initiative Frank contacted me. We had a nice conversation and by chance a Supply Chain vacancy arose at Araco at that moment. So that's how I ended up at NextGen via a detour."

Opportunities to develop yourself
"Araco is a company that offers a lot of opportunities to develop yourself. If you have the right ambition you can put together your own position there, so to speak, which is very cool. If you have a good idea you can pitch it and execute it. I can develop in a lot of facets here."
I started as an improvement consultant at our embroidery company in Romania, with that project I passed my Green Belt. I have since joined the company as a product quality manager. I deal with things like certification and legislation, product development in consultation with our suppliers, inventory quality management, corporate social responsibility and auditing suppliers."

NextGen's mindset
Now that a number of NextGen'ers have worked here, I see that mentality being kind of adopted by the other colleagues, which is very nice. Keep developing, continuously improving, implementing project-based improvements. An internal academy is being set up to provide new employees with the right information, there is more focus on what you need when you work here within the company.
For myself, for the time being, there are plenty of opportunities to develop within my position. In the future I can see myself doing a study or course in addition to my work. Continuing to learn is important.
