Medior/Senior Procurement & Supply Chain Employee at SMA
As a Procurement & Supply Chain Employee, you bear responsibility for the procurement of materials for various projects. You work (among other things) together with the Engineering department, which provides you with lists, packages and drawings. On this basis, you make purchase orders and assess, from a cost perspective, which work to perform yourself and which to outsource. You maintain contact with suppliers and make price agreements. You try to purchase as efficiently and effectively as possible within the set budget.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above:
- Monitor project schedule delivery times;
- Keep relevant departments informed of any changes;
- Review invoices and book them correctly into the ERP system (RIdder IQ);
- Think about how to set up the procurement department more efficiently and effectively;
- Maintain and build relationships with suppliers;
- Expand your portfolio of suppliers.

What do you own?
- A completed college or university degree in the direction of (Technical) Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and/or Nevi;
- You preferably have 3-4 years of work experience in a similar role;
- Work experience in manufacturing or steel construction is a plus;
- Experience with ERP systems such as Knight IQ is a plus;
- You enjoy working together, but can also work well independently and do so accurately.

- A gross monthly salary €4,500 and €6,000 (based on 40 hours);

SACO Airport Equipment, THIEL Storage and Handling Systems and Viking Airport Equipment are the three prominent labels of SMA. SACO and Viking are specialists in air cargo handling and storage systems. THIEL focuses on several user-friendly and secure storage and handling systems. SACO and THIEL operate from the Netherlands, Viking does so from England.
